My stay at Somerset Hotel was disappointing, with a few positives including a welcoming lobby. However, the cramped room and serious maintenance issues overshadowed my experience. I encountered dirty facilities and an uncomfortable atmosphere. I would not recommend this hotel. 😞

I had a rather disappointing stay at Somerset Hotel Baker Street. While the location is fantastic and quite convenient, the overall condition of the hotel was far below my expectations. There were several cleanliness and maintenance issues that affected my comfort during the visit.

Rooms
5.0
The room was drab and grey with peeling wallpaper and large yellow stains on the ceiling. It was just clean enough to sleep in for one night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer given its condition.
Service
5.0
While the staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful, I found it disheartening that there seemed to be a lack of staff presence when needed, especially in the mornings.
Location
5.0
The location was definitely a highlight, being so close to Baker Street Station and attractions like Madame Tussauds. It made it easy for me to explore the area.
Dining
5.0
There was a lack of breakfast options, which was contrary to what the website suggested. It was quite inconvenient for a morning meal.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel felt like it was in desperate need of refurbishment, with carpets taped up and generally shabby interiors. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired.

My stay at Somerset Hotel Baker Street was a mix of positives and negatives. On the bright side, the location was fantastic, just a few blocks from the Baker Street tube station and surrounded by dining options. The bed was warm and comfortable, which I appreciated. However, the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment, and I encountered issues like old fixtures, cleanliness problems, and an overall lack of amenities. Although the staff were friendly, the service was inconsistent and untrained, which affected my experience. 😕

The room was clean enough to sleep in, but it desperately needs a facelift, with old fixtures and limited supplies.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Somerset Hotel Baker Street. The location was great, being close to good transport links, which I appreciated. However, the hotel itself was in a terrible state with cleanliness issues and poorly maintained facilities. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was a disgrace, with a mouldy bathroom and insufficient bedding for the number of guests. There were only five pillows for a room designed for six people, and it was quite noisy due to old windows that didn’t block out the street sounds.
Service
5.0
The reception service was lacking. There were times when no one was at the front desk, and when someone did appear, they were unhelpful and rude. Overall, the customer service fell far short of what I expected.
Location
5.0
The location was convenient, just a few minutes from Baker Street underground, which made it easy to navigate the city. This was one of the few positive aspects of my stay.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were severely limited due to renovations. Breakfast was just toast and cereal of low quality, and there were no facilities for hot drinks in the room, which was quite disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were poorly maintained, with things like a non-functioning hot tap and a lack of basic amenities. The absence of a lift made lugging my bags up four flights of stairs a challenge.

My stay at Somerset Hotel Baker Street was a mixed bag. The location was superb, being very close to Baker Street station, which made it easy to commute around London. However, the room cleanliness left much to be desired, especially the bathroom, and some amenities were disappointing. But considering the low price for a one-night stay, I can't complain too much.

Rooms
5.0
The room was adequate for a short stay, but the bathroom needed significant cleaning and the furnishings were of poor quality.
Service
5.0
While the staff were friendly and seemed attentive, the reception was poorly manned, making it difficult to get assistance when needed.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just off Baker Street, with shops and cafes nearby, making it very convenient.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were quite basic, consisting of toast and cereal which was not up to par for a hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The housekeeping seemed average during my stay, but the overall facilities could use a refresh.
